Home extension

A detached house was converted into a two-family home through an extension and the addition of a second story. The ceilings were constructed using solid wood. To ensure the ceiling remained as efficient as possible, an invisible timber frame was integrated into the window front, acting as a beam and girder. The slab foundation for the basement ceiling and the solid wood ceiling on the first floor created a seamless integration of form and function.
